ANDERSON’S ASYMMETRY: J.W. Anderson has teamed with Net-a-porter on a capsule collection made from shirting fabrics.

Jonathan Anderson has put his own textural spin on the pinstripe fabrics, fusing, draping and knotting them and adding asymmetric touches. The designer said the off-the-shoulder top is his favorite piece, and he designed the collection to be versatile.

“I always think the great thing about shirting is that it goes with jeans, and jeans are probably the most modern, functional garment that ever existed. That is what is so great about shirting — it is an up-play-down-play,” he said.

The six-piece range includes asymmetric dresses, skirts and blouses, some off-the-shoulder with ruching, and a short sleeve knee-length dress with an obi-style belt. Prices range from 415 pounds, or $590, for a knot shirt to 645 pounds, or $917, for a wrap dress. It will be exclusively sold on Net-a-porter as of today.
