Phillip Lim continued his “romancing reality” ad campaign collaboration with photographer Viviane Sassen for the fourth consecutive season. After traveling to Morocco, Bhutan and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the past three shoots, respectively, Lim and Sassen kept it closer to his home base of New York. They shot Jamie Bochert in the Brooklyn and New Jersey neighborhoods, where she grew up. The shoot continued the “going home” concept that Lim and Sassen introduced for spring 2016 when they shot Liya Kebede in her hometown of Addis Ababa.

The whole experience was so laden with memory and nostalgia and at times deeply intimate and raw; a celebration of homecoming, and the humble beauty of recognizing where you came from and appreciating the every day,” said Lim of shooting Bochert.

The campaign will appear in fall issues of The Gentlewoman, Another, Harper’s Bazaar, Self Service, The Last Magazine, T Magazine and Dazed & Confused.
