ON THE FLOOR: The Morocco Mall is Casablanca kicked off in style Thursday night with an opening ceremony featuring a special performance by Jennifer Lopez. The 2,691,000-square-foot shopping center, one of the 20 largest in the world, was to inaugurate flagship stores today and officially open to the public on Monday. A joint project of AKSAL and Al Jedaie Groups, the shell-shaped mall represents a $242 million investment.

“The mall is amazing, frankly. It’s state-of-the-art,” enthused Christian Dior chief executive Sidney Toledano, who was born in Casablanca, and who was there to open a 3,800-square-foot Dior boutique.
