WHAT KATY DID NOT: Jeremy Scott, in Paris Wednesday to host the opening of his friend Kenny Scharf’s painting and sculpture exhibition at Colette, said that despite media reports to the contrary, the booing at his first Moschino show last week was not directed at singer Katy Perry’s belated arrival holding things up.
“It was misconstrued in the press. We weren’t waiting on Katy; it wasn’t her fault. We were waiting on models that were coming from other shows prior,” he said, adding that the booing was instigated by jostling photographers.
At Colette, Scott was sporting a colorful outfit from his collaborative spring collection with Scharf, which he paired with a gold necklace shaped into his first name. Could this be in case his renown is not assured in Paris? “No, it’s just so people know I’m rich,” quipped the designer.
Another collaboration with Scharf is in the cards, Scott said, and will be disclosed soon.
