Julep is upping its retail this holiday season, with an expanded in-store presence that is on track to triple last year’s holiday collection sales. In addition to the 15-piece holiday range entering over 300 Ulta doors next month — it’s Julep’s first season in full rollout since the company entered 250 Ulta doors in July — select items will be sold at Nordstrom, QVC and Beauty Brands. Previously, the brand was carried in a handful of Nordstrom doors and nordstrom.com, but come November, the holiday collection will be part of the retailer’s in-store holiday assortment in all 121 doors nationwide. An exclusive lip wardrobe will also air on QVC and hit qvc.com in December, and the range will be sold directly on julep.com, where there are options to mix and match and build your own holiday gifts.
Julep, which began as a direct-to-consumer e-commerce beauty company, has also tapped artist and illustrator Kristjana Williams — her work is permanently displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum and she’s partnered with brands from Christian Louboutin to Liberty of London — to design three exclusive patterns for the packaging. The vibrant patterns, which include polar bears, reindeer, foxes, butterflies and birds, are printed on the packaging of every nail, cheek, eyeliner and lipstick set. This season will also see the introduction of the brand’s first full-face palette set, Flights of Fancy, which contains two palettes of eye shadows, cheek colors (that could also double as lip color) and highlighters.
