ETHER TO EARTH: JustFab is no longer just e-commerce. On Saturday, the online footwear specialist officially opened a 3,000-square-foot flagship at the Glendale Galleria in Glendale, Calif., the first of what could be many JustFab stores. Although it has over 33 million members, a total that takes into account its recent acquisition of ShoeDazzle, Adam Goldenberg, co-chief executive of JustFab, said, “There are some customers who sign up on the site, but before they make a purchase, they want to touch and feel the product. It is a real opportunity to convert members to actual buyers who have signed up, but haven’t yet made a purchase.” In the store, the merchandise, which includes denim and handbags as well as shoes, is grouped by trend, and content from JustFab’s digital platform is integrated into the space to illustrate those trends. The store also makes use of technology that Goldenberg explained allows store employees to request shoes be brought to customers without the employees being distracted from servicing those customers. Don Ressler, JustFab’s other co-ceo, said, “Our hope is that this flagship is going to be tremendously successful, and we are going to look for other footprints across the country.” Another JustFab store could open as early as next year. The El Segundo, Calif.-based Intelligent Beauty Inc.-owned company certainly seems to have the cash to support a retail rollout as it is on track to profitably reach $400 million in sales in 2014 and exceed $500 million in 2015.
