SILVER STREAK: The man who has probably designed more gold buttons than anyone in the history of fashion has finally gone and chromed himself.
Standing 10 inches tall and coated in a fine layer of chromium, the figurine retails for 169 euros or $215.
This high-shine Karl was designed by Simone Legno, creative director and cofounder of Tokidoki, based in Los Angeles. Only 1,300 are to be produced, each with an authenticity certificate, making them highly collectible.
This is the 10th Tokidoki version of Lagerfeld, whose likeness has also been rendered as a fur charm at Fendi. Previous Tokidokis came with a matte black finish, or with the designer cradling his pet cat Choupette.
