KATE IN THE PINK: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were among the British royals who gathered for Queen Elizabeth II’s lunch for sovereign monarchs Friday afternoon. Held in honor of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at Windsor Castle, British royal guests at the event included Prince Harry, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, along with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Kate, wearing a pale pink Emilia Wickstead dress with pleated skirts, which she paired with blush-colored Prada court shoes, chatted to international royal guests including the King Abdullah II of Jordan and his wife, Queen Rania, and Queen Margarita of Bulgaria. Other royals at the lunch included the Emperor and Empress of Japan, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and the King and Queen of Sweden. The King of Bahrain also attended the lunch, with his invitation attracting some protest in the U.K. due to his regime’s alleged human rights abuses. On Friday night, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall hosted a dinner at Buckingham Palace for a number of the visiting monarchs.
