TIGER BLUE: Kenzo is extending its partnership with the Blue Marine Foundation with the launch of a limited edition blue version of its famed Tiger sweatshirt. The partnership is part of ongoing efforts by the contemporary brand to draw attention to the issues of sea pollution, overfishing and the destruction of marine life.

The Blue Marine sweatshirt is available in unisex sizes in Kenzo and Opening Ceremony boutiques worldwide, on kenzo.com and at Selfridges in the United Kingdom, priced at $340.

Part of the proceeds from its sale will go toward supporting the Blue Marine Foundation’s campaign to create a large marine protected area in the South Atlantic Ocean around South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, who both grew up near the California coast, worked an aquatic theme for their spring-summer 2014 collection and Kenzo subsequently co-hosted a screening in Paris of the 2009 documentary “The End of the Line,” which talks about the effects of overfishing.
