TAPPING IN: Kitson is seizing the Brian Lichtenberg moment. In-store BLTee shops featuring new and exclusive designs from the designer’s graphic sweater, T-shirt and accessory collection will pop up at the retailer’s stores from June to August. Kitson owner Fraser Ross told WWD earlier this year that Lichtenberg’s products, especially shirts that parody the Hermés logo with the words “Homiés South Central,” have been among the 13-unit Southern California retailer’s bestsellers. “I haven’t seen anything in seven years selling like that,” said Ross of his Homiés items. “The women carrying Céline and Hermés bags are buying it. They are mixing and matching street with designer.” Lichtenberg’s BLTee shops at Kitson will range from 100 to 600 square feet. Lichtenberg, the Los Angeles designer who started his eponymous label in 2001, said, “Kitson has been a huge supporter of the brand since the beginning and being able to display my collection in it’s own environment within the shops is a dream come true.”
