The Kodak pop-up in London

KODAK MOMENT: Kodak has mounted a pop-up and creative hub for photographers in London ahead of the holidays.

Located in Soho, at 70 Berwick Street, the pop-up carries a range of Kodak products including fashion items, prints and film as well as its latest launch, the Ektra Smartphone. The Kodak x Opening Ceremony capsule range is also making its debut in the U.K. Designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon looked to director and filmmaker Spike Jonze’s archive of photographs for inspiration.

The collection features colorful, striped long-sleeve crew neck shirts, T-shirts, a jacket and trousers. Lim and Leon have repurposed the brand’s logo and created a bold graphic print on T-shirts. The price range for the line starts at 37.80, or $48, for a beanie to 457.76 pounds, or $582, for a bomber jacket. In addition, the pop-up will offer free photography tutorials, demonstrations and exhibitions to learn new skills and techniques.

“The brand is undeniably iconic, so it was exciting for us to use this recognizable branding to create a capsule collection,” Lim said. “We’ve always loved Kodak’s logos and trademarks and admired Kodak’s dedication to continuity. We think the capsule celebrates all Kodak values we appreciate.”

The pop-up will run from Dec. 5 to 11.
