LALALA…: It’s all about Los Angeles for Barneys New York this fall. The store is putting a lot of love into its West Coast operations, giving the Beverly Hills flagship a facelift as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. It’s also opening a Fred’s restaurant in the L.A. store, and renovating the former Co-ops at Santa Monica Place and the Americana at Brand in Glendale.

Naturally, this calls for a Bruce Weber extravaganza. The fall campaign is titled “L.A. Stories” and features 76 participants representing the broad spectrum of L.A. dwellers, from the elite (Cuba Scott, artist and granddaughter of Ridley Scott) to the everyman trying to catch a break (James Liddell, a pizza delivery man and aspiring filmmaker). There are also various students, models, artists, businessmen and businesswomen per Weber’s casting style. The campaign will be installed in Manhattan in Barneys’ Madison Avenue windows this weekend.

Additionally, Barneys commissioned a short film by Melodie McDaniel centered around Heart of Los Angeles, a charity dedicated to underprivileged youth in L.A.
