Lane Crawford said it is stocking exclusive capsule collections from three of Japan’s leading fashion brands for its “Japon Noir” initiative at its stores and on its e-commerce site.
“These code-breaking designers challenge convention and champion subversion, creating inspiring designs and objects through an exploration of hybrid forms and an innovative blend of ancient and modern techniques,” the store said.
Lane Crawford said the Sacai collection, designed by Chitose Abe, is an all-black selection of “romantic pieces” that features details like burnout lace and pleats. Pieces from Hiromichi Ochai’s Facetasm include a tiered, patchwork pleat wool jacket and a cutout cropped jacket with fringed sleeves. The offer from Yasuko Furuta’s Toga Archives includes a velvet floral-lace asymmetric layer skirt and a black lace panel ruffle hem dress.
