LANVIN STAMP-EDE: As part of continued celebrations for Lanvin’s 120th anniversary, Alber Elbaz has designed two stamps for the French postal service, La Poste, illustrated with his iconic playful doodles. They will go on sale early next year. Also on offer will be three limited edition ceramic hearts for sending to loved ones in the post. Lanvin’s historic mother-and-daughter logo will feature on packs geared to stamp collectors. Meanwhile, other Lanvin anniversary goodies — including pencils, paper presses and notebooks — will be on offer later this month at the post office based on Rue des Mathurins in Paris. An online Lanvin store also will be created for the occasion on the post office’s Web site.

MIAMI BEACH BLANKET BINGO: Fashion is back at Art Basel/Miami Beach. The annual art fair, known as much for its strenuous after-hours schedule as the contemporary art on show, suffered social attrition last year because of the recession. But this year, brands are flocking to host events, starting tonight with a François Nars and Chandelier Creative cocktail at the Standard. Cartier also will host a cocktail at the Miami Convention Center for art commissioned from Alessandro Mendini and David Lynch. Jefferson Hack’s Another Magazine is hosting a dinner at the Delano celebrating limited edition artworks sold on the pub’s Web site, while Purple Magazine will occupy the wee hours with a party cohosted with Design/Miami at Le Baron’s temporary digs in the Florida Room.

On Thursday night, Nike cohosts a party at OhWow’s art space for Lance Armstrong’s “Stages” exhibit benefitting his Livestrong foundation. Pucci’s Peter Dundas will put in an appearance at upscale boutique The Webster, which also is hosting designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren Friday night. Also on Friday, over at Casa Tua, Moncler will hold a bash toasting Pharrell Williams, who designed a jacket for the outerwear brand. A few miles to the north, Lanvin will celebrate the opening of its new Bal Harbour, Fla., boutique. Visionaire magazine is hosting its annual party at the Delano. Photogs Bruce Weber and Sante D’Orazio each have their own party — Weber at the Standard (for his new book on dancer Roberto Bolle), and D’Orazio feting his book, “Barely Private,” with Francesco Clemente at the W’s new nightclub, Wall.

Those still going on Saturday can take in a Versace show featuring the spring collection at Casa de Suenos or head back to The Webster to have a final glass of Champagne with designer Joseph Altuzarra.

COLONNA’S NEXT ACT: Jean Colonna, the Paris-based designer who rose to prominence in the Nineties before winding down his label in 2003, is the latest guest set to take over 2eme Bureau’s Le Petit Endroit ephemeral store in Paris’ Marais district this month. Describing his collection as a seasonless continuation of his past work, Colonna will be peddling a range of handmade knits, including waistcoats, leggings and oversize T-shirts, as well as a line of delicate, limited edition pieces handmade from silk, cashmere and wool. “This is part of a new story for me,” said Colonna, who next year plans to show in various spaces around France such as art galleries, folding in new creations — and new takes on old ones — along the way. “I like the notion of liberty and having a bit of fun, that my clothes be regarded as universal rather than attached to a season,” he said.

BIG STAGE: “Looped,” Matthew Lombardo’s play starring Valerie Harper as Tallulah Bankhead, has been confirmed to hit Broadway. Initially rumored to premiere in New York late this year after productions in Pasadena, Calif.; West Palm Beach, Fla., and Washington, D.C., the opening is now slated for March. The theater and date have yet to be determined, but one thing is certain: William Ivey Long, who was costume designer for the D.C. run, will continue in his role. “I’m from North Carolina, and Tallulah, of course, is from Alabama,” said Long. “As a fellow Southerner, I’ve always had a special fondness for her antics and outrageous personality.”




ED HARDY IN LONDON: Ed Hardy is bringing its tattoo-inspired clothing label to London. On Tuesday, the ready-to-wear label unveiled a 2,088-square-foot store in West London’s Westfield mall, which carries the label’s entire line of men’s, women’s and children’s wear, along with accessories and footwear. Gary Berman, managing director of Ed Hardy Australia, which holds the license for the Ed Hardy label in Australia, Asia and the U.K., said the store had been done up to “look a little bit like how a rock star would have their house,” with details such as ornate pink chandeliers contrasted with a skull-and-crossbones tattoo design painted on the store’s floor and colorful tattoo designs etched on the ceiling.
