HIS’N’HERS: For the first time, London College of Fashion, part of University of the Arts London, plans to split its MA catwalk show into two parts, and create standalone platforms for its men’s wear and women’s wear students.

The MA men’s wear show will coincide with London Collections: Men and will take place at 11.00 am on Friday, Jan. 9 at the Welsh Chapel on Shaftesbury Avenue in London. The women’s show will take place on Thursday, Feb. 19, the eve of London Fashion Week, at a venue still to be confirmed. Both shows will be styled by Anders Sølvsten Thomsen.

The college said the decision to split the shows is a reflection of the strength of the MA program, and the need to give equal platforms to men’s and women’s wear.

Professor Frances Corner, head of London College of Fashion said of the upcoming men’s MA show: “The U.K. men’s wear sector is incredibly exciting and dynamic, and by holding this show we can provide a platform for our…graduates who will be the future creative drivers of the industry.”
