IN FOCUS: Louis Vuitton has teamed up with Italian photographer Micol Sabbadini for “Travel Postcards,” a photo exhibition unveiled Wednesday night at the French fashion brand’s Milan flagship on Via Montenapoleone. For the project, Sabbadini traveled around the world with seven of Louis Vuitton iconic bags trunks, which she photographed in different locations across four continents. These included a number of cities, ranging from New York, Los Angeles and Miami to Amsterdam, Paris and Moscow, along with more natural sites, such as the Kenya desert and Bali’s Uluwatu beach.
“This project was born by chance chatting with someone from the company on a Saturday night at the [Milan] Plastic Club,” Sabbadini said. “I picked the locations myself because I knew I wanted to spend 2013 travelling around the world – I turned 30 this year and I decided I wanted to visit as many places as possible.”
The exhibition, which Sabbadini hopes to bring to New York soon, will be open until Nov.17.
