Italian eyewear powerhouse Luxottica Group has entered an asset purchase agreement with, a Web site owned by for-profit health care provider WellPoint Inc. The acquisition paves the way for Luxottica to expand its digital offering in the U.S., which the company considers a key market, said Luxottica chief executive officer Andrea Guerra.
