KNITS AND LEATHER: Paris-based fashion label Maison Ullens — formerly known as Mus, built by Myriam Ullens and co-designed by Véronique Leroy — is in the mood for expansion. In June, the brand is set to open a boutique in Aspen and in September, one in Paris on Rue de Marignan across the street from a new Azzedine Alaïa shop, which is also due to open there soon.
Maison Ullens on Sunday presented its fall collection, which included reversible styles, such as a caramel lamb-leather coat and a gray lacquered cropped leather jacket that each turned into a creamy cashmere when flipped over. From T-shirts to cocktail dresses, knitwear clearly remained the label’s preferred style. Roomy cardigans, generously knitted, came in a warm palette of burgundy, turquoise, cream and navy.
