TROMPE L’OEIL: To celebrate its thirtieth anniversary this year, Make Up For Ever held a bash Wednesday night at Paris’ Palais de Tokyo museum.
The centerpiece of the event was a fashion and body art show entitled “The Art of Illusion.” Six fashion labels – Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Kenzo, Emilio Pucci, Shiatzy Chen, Valentin Yudashkin and Zuhair Murad – each presented one look on a live model. In tandem was shown the same outfit that literally had been drawn onto another models’ body with makeup. The likeness was remarkable.
That high-octane show was followed by a performance by Australian songstress Micky Green and music mixed by Girls Girls Girls DJs.
Taking part in the festivities was a clutch of French actresses.
Frédérique Bel said she’s currently filming “Le Chapeau de Mitterrand” for France 2 television. “It’s the story of a magic hat,” she said.
Meanwhile, Déborah François is about to take off for Brazil, where she’ll begin shooting a Patrick Mille movie.
