MAKING A LYST: The online fashion marketplace Lyst has partnered with London-based designer Mary Katrantzou to exclusively retail a limited edition selection of the designer’s resort 2014 collection in the U.S.

The collaboration marks the first time that Lyst has partnered with a designer to sell his or her collection exclusively on Lyst: Currently, the site either links customers to the retailers whose products it displays, or retails certain products directly via its U.S. site, but those pieces are not exclusive to Lyst.

The transactions will be facilitated using Lyst’s universal shopping cart feature, which the Web site has launched in the U.S. to enable customers to pay for items from different retailers without having to leave Lyst’s site.

The move follows the launch of Katrantzou’s own e-commerce site late last year, and Lyst’s announcement last month that it had secured a further $14 million in a round of Series B funding led by Balderton Capital.

In addition, Carmen Busquets, one of the founding investors in Net-a-Porter, became an investor in Lyst, along with John Lindfors, a managing partner at Digital Sky Technologies.
