MIAMI DIGS: Ralph Pucci opens a freestanding showroom in Miami on Saturday, on the site of a former box factory at 343 Northwest 25th Street in the Wynwood Art District, and in the midst of all the Art Basel and Miami buzz. “Wynwood is a few years away from really happening, but it’s really a hot area for art galleries and there is unique, entrepreneurial spirit here,” said Pucci. He also has showrooms in New York on 18th Street and in Los Angeles, where he displays an eclectic, high-end array of home furnishings, lighting, sculpture, photography and art.

On Saturday, there’s an opening party at Pucci’s new showroom, hosted by Architectural Digest, and among the works on display are pieces from Vladimir Kagan, Jens Risom, Patrick Naggar, Hervé Van der Straeten, Jérôme Abel Seguin, Eric Schmitt and Ruben Toledo.

“It’s a 6,500-square-foot, freestanding space with 20-foot ceilings. It’s a very clean, minimal environment,” in keeping with the Pucci template, he said.
