On Thursday, her second day in Milan, Michelle Obama wore a Missoni knit dress as she toured the U.S. Pavilion at the Milan Expo, describing the experience as “amazing. It was awe-inspiring. I mean, the most impactful part of it obviously is the vertical farm, the largest of its kind.”
Obama was greeted by Agnese Renzi, the wife of Italy’s Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, dressed in a pink Ermanno Scervino dress. In the afternoon, the First Lady visited the city’s majestic Gothic cathedral, the Duomo, and walked up through the spires, as several blocks in central Milan, including the area near the Park Hyatt Hotel, were cordoned off.
On Wednesday, Malia and Sasha Obama went shopping at 10 Corso Como while their mother visited high-level officials.
