MILAN — The next Fashion’s Night Out here will take place Sept. 22, the night before the official start of Milan Women’s Fashion Week.
The Milan event will come five days after a similar charity shopping evening in Florence, scheduled for Sept. 17.
Vogue Italia editor in chief Franca Sozzani said at a press conference at the Palazzo Morando here Tuesday that proceeds from the sale of the limited-edition pieces in the stores taking part will be donated to a team of researchers focused on women’s cardiovascular health and heart failure.
During the Milan event, an exhibition of the work of a group of up-and-coming Italian photographers selected by Vogue Italia will be unveiled at the Palazzo Morando museum. Another photo exhibit will be set up at the store of Italian coffee company Illy, located on Piazza Gae Aulenti. That will collect pictures selected from those posted on Instagram using the hashtag #dreamFrancaSozzani1.
Vogue Italia has also teamed up with Italian banking giant Banca Popolare di Milano, which will open the doors of its headquarters on central Piazza Meda to showcase the work of five emerging female fashion designers.
