MIND GAMES: Fondazione Prada is opening a new exhibition at its historic Ca’ Corner Della Regina show space in Venice. “When Attitudes Become Form: Bern 1969/Venice 2013,” curated by Germano Celant, will open June 1 and run through November 24, coinciding with the annual Venice Biennale.
The project aims to precisely recreate Harald Szeemann’s 1969 exhibit “Live in your Head: When Attitudes Become Form,” organized at the Kunsthalle Bern, and the Fondazione Prada worked with Glenn Phillips at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles to track down many of the original artworks shown in Switzerland. An additional array of photographs, videos, letters and previously unpublished materials will also be on display.
A compilation of the exhibition’s photographs, with written commentary from noted historians, curators and critics, is slated for publication coinciding with the June opening.
