THE BIG CHILL: Rebecca Minkoff is getting into a festive mood for the holidays, with a little help from Chandon sparkling wine.  She has designed two Chandon 2016 Limited-Edition Holiday Bottles that hit the shelves Oct. 1. “Nothing is better during the holidays than being with your friends, family and loved ones,” said Minkoff, who explained that she wanted to focus on the Millennial consumer who wants to show up to an event “with something that’s more than just a bottle.” She designed two different looks for Chandon Classic Brut.

“When you’re going through the sparkling wine aisle and looking for something to bring to a party, I wanted something that will catch your eye,” she said. Using her signature studs arranged in a pattern,  she designed one bottle in black and gold and the other in white. The bottle retails for $24 on, and $20 to $24 in liquor stores. The sparkling wine will be on sale from Oct. 1 through Jan. 31, 2017. Because of alcohol laws, it won’t be sold on Minkoff’s web site, “but it will be served at our stores,” she said.

Chandon will promote the collaboration through a digital media campaign including robust social presence and influencer outreach along with visibility in key accounts that includes large displays, windows and e-commerce.
