TABLE TOPPERS: Miriam Haskell wants to put some creepy crawlers on the dinner table – albeit, Swarovski-encrusted ones. Haskell has teamed with lifestyle studio Patch NYC to create a limited edition series of jewelry and tabletop accessories, called Miriam Haskell x PATCH NYC, all inspired by nature: flora, fauna, insects, et al. “We thought it would be beautiful to see these various bugs, leaves and mushrooms interpreted in a classic Miriam Haskell way with intricate bead work and set crystals,” said Don Carney, designer and vice-president of Patch NYC. The partnership marks the first foray into tabletop accessories for the jewelry designer. “[The collection] is hand-crafted and embellished with delicate beading and Swarovski crystals, effectively making even the tabletop pieces feel like jeweled accessories,”said Linda Fialkoff, President of the Miriam Haskell Division of Haskell. The range inludes necklaces, brooches, earrings, cuffs and rings, as well as jeweled camdlesticks and napkin rings, and will be sold at both retailer’s websites, as well as selected speciality retailers nationwide. Prices will range from $465 to $900 for home goods, and $175 to $1400 for jewelry.
