HELPING OUT: A white and red zigzag motif dominated the M Missoni boutique in Milan for the official launch of the line designed by Margherita Maccapani Missoni for OrphanAid — a collection centered on the pattern. “I hope that tonight will be the first of many other shopping nights for OrphanAid,” said Missoni, who is planning to return to Ghana, the African country where the humanitarian association operates, next spring. “I really believe in this project because I think that being selfish and too self-centered won’t save us from this economic crisis.”
Also there were OrphanAid’s founder Lisa Lovatt-Smith and Missoni’s mother, M Missoni creative director Angela Missoni.
A stone’s throw away, Ermenegildo Zegna hosted a party in its flagship store on Via Montenapoleone for the launch of a new sweater made-to-measure project. “Customers are now able to get a customized sweater, choosing among a wide range of colors, fibers and styles,” explained the company’s talent manager Benedetta Zegna.
