MONIQUE’S MOMENT: Fashion Group International of Dallas will honor Monique Lhuillier with the Career Achievement in Fashion award at the Night of Stars gala Nov. 4 at Fashion Industry Gallery.
The annual ceremony and dinner will also salute model Jerry Hall for lifetime achievement. Hall grew up in the Dallas suburb of Mesquite.
In addition, local honorees for career achievement are Sue Gragg for fine jewelry and Allan Knight for interior design. Dallas philanthropist Lynn McBee will be celebrated as Art Patron of the Year.
Proceeds from the Night of Stars fund scholarships and prizes for college students at the FGI Scholarship Competition in May at the Dallas Market Center.
Lhuillier was most recently in the spotlight at Sunday’s Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, where actress Constance Zimmer wore a long red-and-white gown by the designer. As for Hall, she wed media mogul Rupert Murdoch in March. Meanwhile, her relationship with Mick Jagger resulted in four children, two of whom — Georgia May and Elizabeth — have fallen in their mother’s footsteps and carved out successful modeling careers of their own.
