MUSEUM HIT: “Punk: Chaos to Couture” closed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Wednesday, and the Costume Institute exhibition proved to be quite the hit with visitors. In its run from May 9 to Aug. 14, the show, which focused on the London and New York movements and their impact on fashion, had 442,350 visitors. This placed it among the top five of the Costume Institute’s most successful exhibitions in the last 25 years. The other biggest hits during that time were exhibitions focused on Alexander McQueen, superheroes, Jacqueline Kennedy and Chanel.
