ON THE TOWN: MZ Wallace is heading west. The handbag label will open a pop-up shop in San Francisco next week in an 800-square-foot space meant to draw a local and touristic clientele.

Opening on June 15 at 103 Geary Street, the pop-up will remain open through December.

The New York-based brand operates a retail boutique on Crosby Street in SoHo and on Lexington Avenue on the Upper East Side. Cofounder Monica Zwirner designed the San Francisco concept shop to reflect elements of Crosby Street’s design – evoking archetypal art gallery features.

“Every day in our two New York stores we have customers visiting from other cities, sometimes straight from the airport, so we decided the time was right to pop up in a city where we know we have a loyal following,” Zwirner said in a statement.

Ten percent of sales from the pop-up’s first month of operation will benefit family-oriented charity The Raphael House.
