LIM’S SPEAKER: It’s back to school for Neva Hall, at least for a day. The executive vice president of Neiman Marcus Stores will deliver the keynote address at the commencement exercises of LIM College, where students study business and fashion.

Hall, a member of LIM’s Class of 1974, will also receive an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree and the LIM College Distinguished Achievement Award at the commencement, to be held May 26 at Avery Fisher Hall. Hall oversees the management of 41 Neiman’s stores, Neiman’s food services and store operations. She and her team of store directors implement the selling and marketing, merchandising and planning strategies for the Neiman Marcus stores. Hall joined Neiman’s in 1983 as a sportswear buyer, rose up the ranks to become a senior vice president and general merchandise manager and assumed her current role in 2002. Before Neiman’s, she was a buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s. Last year, Hall received LIM’s first annual Maxwell F. Marcuse Award.
