NEW DEAL: Gilmar is adding another license to its portfolio. The company has signed an agreement with Paolo Pecora for the production and worldwide distribution of the designer’s namesake men’s wear collection.
The fruits of the collaboration between the two companies will be unveiled in January, when the brand will showcase its fall/winter 2014 collection at Pitti Uomo.

“We are proud to participate in the new global launch and development of a brand that we’ve been following from close-up for some time,” said Gilmar chief executive officer Paolo Gerani. “In particular we have been impressed by the artful way it gives men’s clothing a smart contemporary twist.”
“For a brand so focused on knitwear, this agreement coincides with a fresh beginning, the embarking on a new and important stage in our evolution,” said Pecora, who founded his label in 1984. “Gilmar is definitely one of the most organized companies in the Italian fashion industry and it’s able to offer its partners the fundamental support, both in terms of know-how and technology, to innovate the productive processes and enhance quality.”
Gilmar already produces the ready-to-wear collections of a number of fashion labels, including N°21, Frankie Morello and Brooksfield. It also manufactures and distributes its house labels Iceberg and Ice Iceberg.
