NEW TIME: Watch executives raised a glass at The Carlyle hotel in Manhattan Thursday to kick off the second annual Madison Avenue Watch Week. The events, which officially run until Friday, are open to the public and will feature watch previews and launches, discussions with watchmakers and presentations regarding trends and designs. Brands partaking in the festivities include Antiquorum Auctioneers, Asprey, Blancpain, Breguet, Buccellati, Chopard, David Yurman, de Grisogono, F.P. Journe, Georg Jensen, Girard-Perregaux, Graff, Mauboussin, Montblanc, Porsche Design, Stephen Russell and Vacheron Constantin.

“Madison Avenue is the largest fine watch marketplace in North America,” said Matthew Bauer, president of the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District. “And as there is a fashion week that launches all the new collections. Watch Week on Madison Avenue launches all the new watches that have been released at Basel World and the SIHH [Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie] show.”
