DIGITAL GAMES: Nicholas Kirkwood and Decoded Fashion, a technology summit series, have teamed up on a competition for start-up companies. “The Kirkwood Challenge” will involve entrepreneurial companies pitching their digital ideas and brand concepts to the British footwear brand.
Judged by a panel including co-founder and creative director Nicholas Kirkwood, in addition to the brand’s chief executive officer Christopher Suarez and public relations and communications director Aiden Aldred, five concepts will be selected by Decoded Fashion and the winner will meet the Nicholas Kirkwood team, receive a pair of shoes and the opportunity to discuss possible collaborations.
Entrants can submit their proposals until May 8 on london.decodedfashion.com/kirkwood.
“The tech community has changed the way we live and the way we communicate and interact. Fashion is ever morphing and transforming and has that unique ability to evoke an unparalleled passion with consumers, but how they meet to give customers the experience and to exceed their expectations is something I’m excited to really explore with this competition,” said Kirkwood.
Decoded Fashion initiated its first fashion competition in 2012, hosted another at the World’s First Fashion Hackathon in New York in 2013 and has collaborated with companies including AllSaints, Diesel Simon and Westfield on contests.
