NICKY HILTON’S NEW BAG: Nicky Hilton is going back to her roots for her latest fashion venture, a fall capsule collaboration with L.A.-based handbag line Linea Pelle called NH Nicky Hilton x Linea Pelle. “I started designing bags when I was 18 for Samantha Thavasa,” said Hilton, whose latest apparel design venture was a capsule for Eluxe last year. “Bags are a huge passion of mine.” “Nicky seemed natural to form a collaboration with since she is an independent woman and entrepreneur. She’s not afraid to take fashion risks and mix high and low, like wearing Hermès and H&M,” said Linea Pelle creative director Donna Katz Basso. The 10-piece leather and calf hair collection, wholesaling from $44 for a zip clutch to $190 for a large tote, comes in black, bone and leopard print color ways and each piece is named after one of Hilton’s favorite hotels, such as Chateau, Plaza and Claridges.

Hilton will be at the ENK trade show in Las Vegas on Feb. 18 as well as Coterie in New York on Feb. 24 to hawk her wares. “I love going to trade shows. A lot of people in my position don’t; they just slap their name on something,” said Hilton, 31, who also learned from her mother Kathy, who has sold her own handbag line at Accessories The Show in Vegas. “My mother always said, ‘If you are not going to wear it, then don’t put your name on it.’” Hilton is also busy planning her summer London wedding to banker James Rothschild, prepping for the launch of a cosmetics line in March, and another accessories collaboration and campaign for Sephora that’s still under wraps.
