NODS FOR BRITISH FASHION: Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Stella McCartney and Christopher Kane are among the labels that have been nominated for this year’s British Fashion Awards. During an event held at London’s Savoy Hotel Monday evening, the British Fashion Council announced the nominees for the 11 different categories it honors, from the Emerging Talent Award for ready-to-wear designers to the Red Carpet Award. Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Mulberry and Stella McCartney were all nominated in the Designer Brand category, while J.W. Anderson, Michael van der Ham and Simone Rocha were nominated in the Emerging Talent Ready-to-Wear category.

Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou and Stella McCartney have been nominated for Designer of the Year, while Edward Enninful, Katie Grand and Louise Wilson, a professor at London’s Central Saint Martins, have all been nominated for the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which takes place in London on Nov. 27.
