DREAM TEAM: Italian footwear label Santoni has tapped Olivier Zahm to shoot ten portraits of Caroline Vreeland which will be unveiled on Thursday at Milan’s Palazzo Bocconi, where the brand will host its fall presentation.
In the pictures, Vreeland, a singer and great-granddaughter of Diana Vreeland, will interpret the character of iconic actress Marlene Dietrich.
“I was so happy to work with Caroline Vreeland as a modern Marlene Dietrich for this new Santoni fall collection,” said Zahm, photographer and founder of Purple magazine.
“She incarnates the timeless glamour of Marlene in a modern way — fresh, audacious and with a mysterious regard. This attitude fits well with a shoe collection that plays with the codes of night versus day, glamour versus sexy, and men’s dressing versus women’s,” he added.
