OPEN TO DISCUSSION: Through a new partnership with Fast Company, Kering will launch its Kering Talks program Sept. 23 with a chat with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.) about her new book “Off the Sidelines: Raise Your Voice, Change the World.”

Laurent Claquin, head of Kering Americas, said Monday, “Right now, we plan to do these talks every two months or so. We wanted to have an opportunity to have very intimate conversations with thought leaders about different subjects and topics. They may be from institutions, the cinema, writers or musicians. We are most interested in digital, sustainability, women empowerment, creativity and talent.” He said, “It will almost be like a rendezvous every two months with no specific objective except to have a great discussion with a creative leader.”

Each event’s audience will be capped at about 55 people and the Kering Talks will last an hour so that “everyone can [go on] to do whatever they have to do,” Claquin said.
