OUT IN THE STREETS: Street photography may be overrun with newbies, but the new documentary “Everybody Street” pays homage to those who first hit the sidewalks 90 years ago. Directed by photographer and documentarian Cheryl Dunn and produced by Lucy Cooper, the film will first be shown Nov. 11, 12, 16 and 17 at Brooklyn’s Nitehawk Cinema. Bruce Davidson, Elliott Erwitt, Jill Freedman, Bruce Gilden, Joel Meyerowitz, Rebecca Lepkoff, Mary Ellen Mark, Jeff Mermelstein, Clayton Patterson, Ricky Powell, Jamel Shabazz, Martha Cooper and Boogie are among the street photographers featured. And historians Max Kozloff and Luc Sante help put it all in context. Just as street photographers like to appeal to the masses, the documentary will be sold on Vimeo in time for its debut.
