TALENTS WITH A CAUSE: Miroslava Duma and Natalia Vodianova hosted a cocktail reception at Le Bristol Paris hotel on Sunday.

The event was the second in a series planned by Duma as part of her online platform Buro 24/7’s new Fashion Forward Initiative supporting emerging designers.

The nine talents selected from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan created a special object to be auctioned off on the Buro 24/7 Web site for the Naked Heart Foundation, Vodianova’s charity providing support for children with special needs in Russia.

Duma took the guests through the designers’ displays.

“It was a sensation this summer,” she explained, referring to Vita Kin’s collection. The Ukrainian designer, who’s now in her third season and sold on, Net-a-porter and Bergdorf Goodman, said she is inspired by rushnyk, a ritual cloth embroidered with symbols.

“Ulyana Sergeenko with her incredible success brought attention to this part of the world, and now all these new talents inspired by her success really believe that being Russian or Ukrainian or from Eastern European countries doesn’t stop you from shining,” said Vodianova, who was sporting a striking pink cape created by Kin.

Vodianova presented her new charity app, called Elbi, to teen star Zendaya.

“It’s a new model of philanthropy,” she explained, showing the “love button” to donate a dollar.

“Zendaya has 13 million followers on Instagram. If she just sends a message that would be great! We are targeting Millennials,” Vodianova told WWD.

Other labels presenting at the event included Ruban, J. Kim, ZDDZ, Litkovskaya, Poustovit, Tolegen Batentayev, Assel and Aika Alemi.
