MOVING ON: Patrice Béliard has resigned as president of Beaute Prestige International USA after 16 years with the Shiseido-owned company.
A successor will be named later, the company said, and his departure was explained only as his decision to pursue “other international opportunities”, effective June 30. The 42-year-old Béliard has worked for BPI in Paris, Japan, Italy, Miami and finally New York for the last five years.
“Patrice has made countless contributions to BPI over the course of his 16 years with the company,” said Marc Rey, president and chief executive officer of Shiseido Americas. “He was instrumental in transforming the face of BPI USA by doubling the size of the business over the course of just three years, and bringing new business on board, including Burberry and Ferragamo [as distributor]. Patrice’s vision and leadership have laid a strong foundation for years to come.”
Béliard added, “I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside such creative and talented professionals for so many years.”
