ALL’S WELLER: Paul Weller is joining the line-up of acts including Kasabian and Primal Scream who are appearing in concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust. Sponsored by The Body Shop, the run of gigs has been curated by Noel Gallagher, who will also appear on stage, performing alongside one time rivals Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon of Blur. Weller’s performance is the final addition to the schedule that also includes comedy from Russell Brand and Noel Fielding, as well as outings from Ryan Adams and Rizzle Kicks. All of the performers have donated their time for free and all proceeds from tickets sales will go to the charity. Additionally, a charity single called “Beauty With Heart” by British singer/songwriter Leddra Chapman has been released and is available for download via The 12-year-old series of concerts is usually put together by Roger Daltry, who has been replaced by Gallagher this year as Daltry tours with his band, The Who. “I’m looking forward to getting on stage for the final night of Teenage Cancer Trust at The Royal Albert Hall,” said Weller. “I’ve always supported the charity and have seen first-hand how hard they work and what a huge difference it makes to the kids. When Noel asked me to headline I didn’t hesitate.”
