BIRTHDAY BASH: Penhaligon’s feted its 145-year anniversary with a cocktail party in Paris on Tuesday night hosted by the British Ambassador to France, Sir Peter Ricketts, at his residence.
Among guests were Firmenich perfumers Olivier Cresp and Alberto Morillas, who have created numerous scents for the house.
For the embassy event, Penhaligon’s mined its archives for vintage fragrance flacons and other memorabilia, displays of which helped tell the house’s history. Guests were also able to get a whiff of Pehnaligon’s Eau de Cologne No. 33, which will come out in July. It was named after the address one of the brand’s first boutiques, at 33 St. James’s Street in London.
Puig acquired Penhaligon’s early this year.
