GOODS FOR GREECE: Philanthropist Maddalena Kind has organized a charity vintage sale to benefit the refugee crisis in Greece. The sale is taking place today and Saturday at the Sadie Coles HQ contemporary art gallery in Mayfair.

“London for Refugees” is offering more than 800 pieces from labels including Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel and Hermès. Highlights include a YSL couture evening cape, a Sixties Chanel suit, vintage Balmain evening coat, handbags from Hermès, Gucci and Comme des Garcons and custom jewelry by Valentino and YSL.

New items from the current season are also on sale from names including Vivienne Westwood, J.W. Anderson, Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto, Roksanda and Loewe.

Prices range from 10 pounds, or $13.38, for a vintage T-shirt to 650 pounds, or $870, for a vintage Chanel suit. All sales will benefit the Austrian charity Echo100plus, which helps refugees in Greece. Kind told WWD the Austrian charity has been active in Greece since September 2015 “providing the most basic needs such as food, clothes and shelter.”
