PORTAL POWER: On Tuesday, Pitti Immagine said that next June it will unveil the new version of its online portal.

Launched by Fiera Digitale in 2011, e-Pitti.com, which includes the online versions of the Pitti Uomo, Pitti W, Pitti Bimbo and Pitti Filati trade shows, will feature a new graphic interface and will be designed to perfectly work with mobile devices.

 “It’s a beautiful site, on the same level of the most prestigious international e-commerce sites,” said FieraDigitale chief executive officer Francesco Bottigliero, who also revealed that the digital company closed 2013 with revenues of 2 million euros, or $2.7 million at average exchange rate. 

According to Bottigliero, the revamped site, which will debut with the upcoming edition of international men’s wear trade show Pitti Uomo running June 17-20, will also feature a strong focus on content “to create a better synergy between the physical and the online trade shows.”

Pitti Immagine also presented “FairPlay,” a bi-annual publication collecting the online fairs’ closing numbers, trends and bestsellers.

In January, e-Pitti.com yielded a 79 percent bump in visits compared to June 2013, registering 100,000 visits and more than 440,000 page views.

 Pitti Immagine also revealed it has renewed its partnership with New York-based company Tecnamedia to organize the second edition of “Decoded Fashion in Milan by e-Pitti.” The forum, which will explore the intersection between technology and fashion, will take place on Oct. 22 at show space La Pelota.
