PRADA PARTY: Artists, architects and museum directors will join Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli Wednesday at the Fondazione Prada’s Venetian venue, Ca’ Corner della Regina, to celebrate the opening of the “Art or Sound” exhibition. The notable crew will include Rem Koolhaas, director of the Venice Architecture Biennale; Okwui Enwezor, who will be the director of the 2015 Venice Art Biennale; London’s Tate Modern director Chris Dercon; the Venetian Peggy Guggenheim Collection’s director Philip Rylands; Giovanna Melandri, president of Rome’s MAXXI Foundation, along with the likes of Stefano Boeri, Odile Decq, Cino Zucchi, Elizabeth Diller, Ricardo Scofidio, Thomas Demand, Peter Fischli, Carsten Höller, Adrian Paci, Andreas Slominski, Wolfgang Tillmans and Francesco Vezzoli.

That same night, the Fondazione Prada will open the doors of Ca’ Corner della Regina for a party during which music historian Pietro Verardo will direct three special musical performances based on Italian futuristic painter and composer Luigi Russolo’s Intonarumori instruments. Curated by Germano Celant, “Art or Sound,” which will be open to the public from Saturday to Nov. 3, shows the various ways artists and musicians have combined visual and audible elements and blurred the lines between the different mediums.
