FACTORY FOCUS: Prada is restructuring a factory in Ancona, in Italy’s central-eastern region of Marche. The new plant will be dedicated to the production of the brand’s women’s wear prototypes, which are currently manufactured in a smaller factory in the same region. The opening date has not been set.
Prada owns 11 production sites, including a unit in the Perugia area for the manufacturing of the women’s ready-to-wear collections, a site close to Venice, where the company produces its women’s shoes, along with two factories in Tuscany for the production of the leather bags.
