The Prada show Thursday night drew an art-heavy front row. New York dealer Larry Gagosian said he would open his Paris branch next month with a group of paintings by Cy Twombly.
Germano Celant, artistic director of the Fondazione Prada, has time on his side. He said the foundation’s gallery, which will house more than 500 works by contemporary artists such as Anish Kapoor, Tom Sachs and Sam Taylor-Wood, and is designed by Rem Koolhaas, would open only in 2013.
Meanwhile, artist and photographer Jean Paul Goude was talking food, not art. “I’m having dinner with Miuccia Prada later,” he enthused.
