SCOTT’S SELECTION: Jacques Webster, better known by his stage name Travis Scott, is slated to launch a capsule collection.
The rapper revealed the launch of his latest line at the Made in America festival, an annual music event held in Philadelphia.
On stage, the 24-year old told the audience that he created a 60-piece range that will be available for purchase on his web site including pillows, comforters, T-shirts, hoodies jackets, du-rags, socks and toiletries.
The musician also said that if fans purchase his latest album, “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight,” they will receive a free item of their choice.
Scott is no stranger to fashion, he’s attended Givenchy shows and surprised the audience with a live performance after the fall show. His lyrics note his love for design, as in his song “High Fashion.” He has designed capsule ranges for his “Days Before Rodeo” album and “90210” track. He teamed with Maharishi in the past. Earlier this year, London-based label has launched its Maharishi x Travis Scott Capsule Collection. The “Year of the Cowboy” capsule collection took cues from Scott’s “Rodeo” album and his Texas upbringing. The range included a jacket, trousers and a T-shirt, featuring an image of Scott riding a bronco alongside: “Exhibit A: Maharishi La Flame.” Last November, the designer created a custom bomber jacket for the rapper in both black and olive colorways was adorned with a bespoke “Year of the Cowboy” logo.
