FIGHTING FORM: “I lost my grandma to cancer, and I support something that holds a really big place in my heart,” said Chloe Green at Gabrielle’s Gala fundraiser in London on Wednesday night.
“I want to run a 5 or 10K run, and it motivated me to do that now.” Not, however, in CJG shoes, her collection that’s sold at Topshop, Green noted.
Sponsored by Lorraine Schwartz in conjunction with Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation UK, the dinner took place at Old Billingsgate Market and raised just under 700,000 pounds, about 1.8 million dollars, to support cancer initiatives in Britain.
Rita Ora performed a set, while guests including Lindsay Lohan, Julien Macdonald and Boris Becker all took part in a live auction.
Green said her current design focus is footwear, although she’s toyed with the idea of designing dresses. “Maybe [I’ll do] a few dresses that will complement the shoes, eventually,” said Green. “I’m just working with shoes for now, I want to perfect that first. It’s kind of fun to start at the bottom and work your way up.”
